Roxana Reyes Holzapfel was born to a Cuban father and a Puerto Rican mother, both born and raised in New York City.
Roxana was a legal secretary, wildlife rescuer, a production specialist with a popular radio station and even danced in an NFL Super Bowl half-time show.
Once making Arizona her home in the late 1980's, Roxana worked for America West Airlines coordinating a very popular baseball fantasy camp and was in the travel business for more than a decade. Roxana was a real estate agent, and sales rep at GoDaddy. Heck, she was even on Wheel of Fortune! She is currently a notary public for the State of Arizona.
Roxana has had several small businesses including a salt water aquarium store and a scuba diving business, where she and her husband would take clients to exotic places like Puerto Rico and Fiji to dive with bull and tiger sharks.
Roxana has lived in Tempe for 35 years. She has been married to her husband, Michael, for 23 years. She has two grown sons, several dogs, a cat and a tortoise.
High on the list as reasons for Roxana to run for public office was her unwillingness to sit idle and watch Arizona become like a California.
